Why Mass Timber?
From the forests of Chibougamau to your living space where nature, beauty, and well-being meet.
ANDAS was imagined, developed, and built with a purpose: to create a more natural, pleasant, and sustainable environment.
Through modern solid wood CLT (English: Cross-Laminated Timber), we offer a unique living environment that combines comfort, sustainability, and a low carbon footprint for those seeking an environment that is both elegant and respectful of nature.
The wooden structure allows for innovative architectural designs, with large spans without columns, creative shapes, and great freedom of configuration. It adapts to various projects, from residential buildings to commercial spaces, while offering a unique and modern aesthetic.

« On a global scale, the building sector is responsible for nearly 40% of GHG emissions. 11% of these emissions are related to the choice of construction materials, including their harvesting and manufacturing. » 1

Closing the carbon loop
100% of ANDAS's structure is made from responsibly managed forests sourced from FSC® certified forests.
Every aspect of the design is optimized to facilitate installation and minimize waste, while ensuring that the wood remains reusable or recyclable, thus prolonging its positive ecological impact.

A natural stress regulator
Many studies demonstrate a correlation between the presence of natural elements like wood in an indoor space and a notable decrease in the stress and blood pressure levels of its users. They are more relaxed, more productive, and experience a greater sense of well-being.
These beneficial effects on health have been observed in living spaces, offices, classrooms, as well as in hospital environments.
ANDAS has been designed to maximize the visible wood surface in each space.
+ Reduces stress
+ Good mood
+ Increased attention
+ Lowers blood pressure
+ Decreases heart rate
+ Speeds up recovery
+ Encourages creativity
In 2020, the Government of Quebec published its policy on integrating wood into construction. Its objective is to increase the use of wood in construction in Quebec.
This policy aims to promote sustainable development and reduce the carbon footprint of buildings.
Furthermore, wood is an abundant local resource and represents an essential sector in Quebec's economy. In addition to being sourced from our forests and managed sustainably, wood is also processed locally. Quebec's forests are among the best managed in the world and regenerate naturally. Thus, it is an eco-responsible and sustainable choice.
ANDAS was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MRNF) with the support of the Government of Quebec as part of the Wood Construction Innovation Program stemming from the 2030 PEV, representing a step forward towards this goal.
